london marathon.

Today was the London Marathon. It was a great event and seemed to go off without a hitch.

The one disappointment (relative to my experience volunteering at the Boston Marathon) was that you can't get close to the finishing line area to watch as the racers cross the line.

Either way, I managed to find a spot just near the 600m line and was able to both test out a 14mm pancake lens (credit to Horia - co-founder of the awesome tool, Swipe.) & take some great shots of the competitors.

These photos are in the order I shot them, but are generally of various racers who passed by me.

It was great to see all the competitors - and congratulations to everyone who finished!

Lastly, it was an absolutely gorgeous day in London - blue skies & sunny. It has hardly rained since I moved here, so I'm not sure what everyone is talking about when they say it's always rainy ;)
